various aspects in education. YouTube website is regarded as one online material, which can be
integrated into traditional English lessons. It is also considered as a source of online material, which
can play a vital role in teaching and learning field. In this current research we attempt to explore the
learning strategies used by Master One Student to Learn English Language, at the Department of
Letters and English Language at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine. Most importantly,
we seek to investigate the effect of using YouTube, the famous sharing website as a tool of learning
English. As such, the hypothesis of this work states that if Master1English students at University of
Frère Mentouri Constantine watch regularly videos on YouTube, they will enhance their learning
positively. To answer the aims and the research hypothesis, I administered a questionnaire of a
sample forty five students, this questionnaire was divided into two sections, within the first one, I
wanted to know if the participants are familiar with different social media, and at what extent they
use YouTube whether for entertaining, or for learning. The second part was about the use of
YouTube specifically as a tool of learning. The results obtained revealed that most of the students
are familiar with different social media, which exist nowadays. All the participants answered that
they use YouTube as a new strategy to learn English language, that is to say that watching YouTube
videos for the purpose of learning help the Master1 English student at University of Frère Mentouri
Constantine to enhance their learning positively. This would be a confirmation of the above
hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9546 Investigating the effect of using you tube videos on learning english : The case of master one students of english at the university of frère mentouri [texte imprimé] / Sara Kedissa, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE (Route Ain el bey, BP 325, ALGERIE) : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 59 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Investigating the use of code-switching in algerian EFL cassrooms : Case study: 1st year teachers and students, department of english Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ali Rachedi, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 102 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale :
UNE COPIE ELECTRONIQUE PDF DISPONIBLE AU BUCLangues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies,Code-Switching,EFL Classrooms Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Code switching is regarded as a linguistic communicative phenomenon by which speakers use
more than one language in the same conversation. However, many studies are in conflict as
regards whether or not code-switching is a useful language technique that should be used
inside the classroom. Therefore, the current work aims at investigating the attitudes of both
teachers and first year students of English at Mentouri University towards the use of codeswitching as a beneficial language teaching/learning strategy. It also aims at identifying the
main reasons leading to the use of code-switching inside EFL classrooms. Accordingly, we
hypothesize that students and teachers would change the code of the language being learnt to
the previously known linguistic systems to ensure a better understanding of the course in
question. To check this hypothesis, an event sampling classroom observation was carried out
over ten sessions of five different subjects along with a questionnaire that was administered to
ten EFL teachers and forty students at the Department of English, University of Mentouri,
Constantine. The findings revealed that the majority of teachers and students under
investigation hold a positive attitude towards the use of code-switching inside the classroom
due to the various functions it has. Moreover, the study revealed that EFL students use codeswitching mostly to emphasize and reinforce the meaning, to avoid a misunderstanding, and
most importantly to compensate for vocabulary deficiency. The results also showed that
teachers’ code-switching is not influenced by age, experience or gender. However, it is bound
to the students’ English proficiency level and whether or not they have difficulties in
understanding, in addition to the nature of the subject being taught.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9547 Investigating the use of code-switching in algerian EFL cassrooms : Case study: 1st year teachers and students, department of english [texte imprimé] / Ali Rachedi, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE (Route Ain el bey, BP 325, ALGERIE) : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 102 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Applied Language Studies Lack Vocabulary Translating Terms Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : In the present study we try to test Master Two (LMD) students of English at Mentouri
University ,Constantine, abilities in translating legal terms from Arabic into English. Despite
the fact that legal terms have a great importance in everyday life and learners do not seem to
be interested. Therefore, they still face difficulties to convert them. It also shows the influence
of the lack of vocabulary during the translation of such terms. The test and the questionnaire
were administrated to Master (II) students of English at Mentouri University ,Constantine.
The test consists of ten (10) expressions. Students were asked to translate them from Arabic
into English in order to check the validity of the hypothesis. It was hypothesized that if
students gave more interest to the field of legal terminology and use special vocabulary to
translate them, they will have an effective translation and acquire more vocabulary items. The
analysis of the findings proves that students were unable to find the correct equivalents due to
the misunderstanding, the lack of legal knowledge and the use of literal translation as a
method to translate these expressions into English. Thus, some recommendations are
proposed for students to be aware and interested in legal field and its terminologyDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6157 The effect of the lack of vocabulary while translating legal terms from arabic into english : The case of study: second year master students of english at mentouri university of constantine [texte imprimé] / Kenza Lebied, Auteur ; Samira Marmi, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE (Route Ain el bey, BP 325, ALGERIE) : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 64 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences song learning vocabulary Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The aim of this present research is to investigate the effectiveness of using songs as a teaching
strategy to increase students’ familiarity with new vocabulary items. As a first step the main
hypothesis is: if teachers integrate English songs in the learning process then students’ English
vocabulary will improve. It is believed that vocabulary can be acheived through practice. This
research contains two parts : the theoritical part and the field work. To achieve our aim we
relied on two means of research: teachers’ questionnaire and students test. Teachers’
questionnaire was designed to collect data about the different techniques which teachers use to
teach new words in their lessons. The test was divided into pre-test and post-test. The pre-test
aims at evaluating students’ vocabulary and post-test aims at finding out whether students
have benefited from songs. The results show that students have nearly learnt the majority of
the unfamiliar vocabulary items which they dealt with in the pre-test. For this reason, songs
should be incorporated in the teaching curriculumDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6207 The effect of using songs in learning to improve students english vocabulary : The case of second year students at mustapha benboulaid secondary school constantine [texte imprimé] / Saîda Ghimouz, Auteur ; Fairouz Derrahi, Auteur ; Ali Ghiat, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE (Route Ain el bey, BP 325, ALGERIE) : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 67 f. ; 30 cm.
