Résumé :	This research is essentially based on the approach of the threshold according to the main text. These two structures are different in nature. Each has its own function, particular form and its position in the space of the text. The field of the doorstep is vast .This research is concered with answering this problematic issue. Gérard Genette has confirrmed that the (text is rarely presented in isolation without reinforcement of certain amount of productions such as the name of the author, title and the introduction of the book). And this is what this thesis has mentioned as an aim to study externel surrounding doorstep and internal ones in the novels of the writer Wassini Laarej relying on the studies of the French criticism as Gérard Genette in his book Threshold (Doorstep), and Léo Hoek in his book (The mark of title) etc... The research in the question of the threshold , is to research beyond the language sustained by the non verbal signs , significants as coloures , pictures and icons. Through this perception, the horisental approach of L'aarej's novels generally relied on three levels : 1- Externel level 2-Internel level 3-functional level At the end of the conclusion of this research, we have determined that the writer Wassini Laarej was able to attend in his novels a strategy of formats and styles of the threshold as well as their functions. In addition to this strategy, the author was able to improve the different techniques of contemporary writing.
