Nowadays, the electronic payment cards constitute one of the modern means of
payment and discharge, which emerged as a result of the enormous development
of information and communications technology and its deployment in all the
fields of life to give rise to the saying: a society without checks or money.
Indeed, today these cards are gradually replacing the traditional means of
payment. People can do without carrying cash or even checks wherever they go
or travel, satisfied to carry small plastic cards whereby they pay the price of
what they purchase and withdraw all the money they need at any time and from
anywhere.
For that, we shed light on the legal system for electronic payment cards through
dealing with the general provisions for electronic payment cards and then with
the contractual relationships resulting from their use, and finally touching on the
legal consequences arising from the use of these cards.
