This research Entitled (the text and the paratexte, maqamat of al-Hariri and miniatures of al-Wasiti, a reading in the semiotics of image), In three sections and seven chapters, In order to search for the text in the image, was the first door, a theoretical door in three chapters, the first chapter came to encompass the term of the text through its course of evolution, in order to limit its concept and distinguish its characteristics. As for the second chapter, was to define the term paratexte since its appearance,
and track its types, then the third chapter: that was a standing at the term of semiotics across the path of its appearance at the Westerns without neglecting its first glimpses at the Arabs, to follow its path of transforming from general semiotics to image semiotics, and to stand at the expression in all its manifestations that serve the studied subject, and The second section, came in two chapters: The first chapter was an applied study of the art of the maqamat to prove its textuality, while the second chapter was a tracking for the art of miniatures since its appearance until it settled at arabs with distinctive characteristics,
contrary to those in other regions, then we tracked its development until it accompanied the art of Maqamat and It became a paratext, as for the third section was a reading the semiotics from the picture, in two chapters, the first chapter was an interview between Al-Maqama and its accompanying miniatures in the subject is a picture, to discover the compatibility between the text and the paratexte through the principle of reading which started from the written text, to intensify in the miniature considering her a color message, The second chapter was to reveal the semiotics of the aesthetic formation through the act and movement in the
Maqama and the way of formation by line and by color, revealed the semiotic reading through its decisive stations, and its long track, that it's a fertile field for research, try to decrypt the color and font, by standing when reading the image, by the color, geometry, and positioning the personalities by the act, movement and signal.
In the premise that the image is the first material for perception, and the basis of the process of thinking, imaginative and creative, the semiotic reading of Miniatures contributed to deriving the characteristics and manifestations of the visual discourse by discribing it a parallel speech to the linguistic discourse, The search revealed a color language and geometric shapes, chunky with connotations, inspirations and methods of expressions that permeate the human imagination.
