The aim of this work is to set up a comparative study between the performance of solar collector with simple glazing and that resulting from a solar collector with double glazing.
Our choice is based on the area of Constantine where the climate is hot and dry in summer and where the sky is mostly clear leading to a free heat.
As a representative day, for our simulation for the considered area, we selected 15th July, in order to compare our theoretical results with the various experimental results, obtained up to now.
Models are developed in order to study the influence of certain parameters such as time, inclination and fluid flow.
This study allowed us to estimate heat flow losses and heat gains as well as to determine performances of solar collectors using either a simple glazing or a double glazing.
In this fact, we noticed that the system with double glazing, compared with that of a simple glazing, may give satisfaction, in terms of performance, if glass, in terms of optical efficiency, is selected. |
