The security of structures made of reinforced concrete towards the phenomena of instability, can to be apprehensive only by calculations taking into account the effect of the second order due to the displacements and the real physical behavior of materials concrete and steel. The treatment of such structures, through the various evolutions of the structural calculation, has proved rather complex and an analytical treatment is practically impossible. Empirical solutions as well as graphic approaches by means of construction and of exploitation of interaction diagrams were proposed. It's the same for numerical resolutions. The research for new and very sensible numerical methods for the calculation of the relation load-displacement is more than necessary. These methods were used for the determination of the failure load of reinforced concrete columns subjected to biaxial bending. Numerical program was elaborated and numerical results have proved to be very close to existing experimental results. This phenomenon and the recognition of the non-linearity behaviour laws of materials no longer allow analytical calculations.
The main objective of the present thesis is to realise interaction diagrams of slender columns reinforced concrete subjected to eccentric loading using a proposed calculation program. The numerical approach is based on finite difference method associated to the method of tangential stiffness matrix. This digital approach determines for all combinations given (N - M) of collapse, all of these points are a break curve or N-M interaction curve that takes into account the effect of slenderness.
The study of the effects of parameters such as slenderness, concrete strength, eccentricity and the yield stress of reinforcement are taken into account in the design of interaction diagrams.
Finally some conclusions and perspectives are proposed.
