transparent system for communicative purposes. Different languages may face the same problem, but solve it rather differently. For example, every language needs to distinguish each grammatical category. Well, one language may solve this problem by overtly marking system with inflectional morphemes; other languages rely on a fixed word order. From this perspective, each language has developed its own structural inventory, consisting of highly specific construction.
Consequently, what may appear to be clear-cut and familiar linguistic categories in one language need not to be present in another. In fact no grammatical category can be said to be absolutely universal. What typologists try to do is to uncover the diverse range of strategies that languages use to encode particular concepts, and to discern systematic patterns of that variation. One of these most debatable concepts is tenses expression and verbal system.
To start, we have to admit basically that language has to have tenses, and maybe other category of verbal system. After all, how would a language be able to distinguish between the same action taking place right now, having taking place in the past? Well this is absolutely possible.
While French has a complicated verbal system, Arabic has only two aspectual forms. Therefore, each French tense can be rendered by several Arabic tense, which causes a problem for the translator. However, a good French-Arabic translator who fully understands the French context in which a verb form occurs will have no difficulty in choosing the suitable tense for that form.
This research proposes a study for the problematic of translating the French moods and the Sequence of tenses from French into Arabic. This subject raises many questions that require a serious investigation. The most important ones are: How can we translate the complicated French verbal system into Arabic? How can we transfer the semantic charges of the French verb mood and Sequence of tenses into Arabic? Is the Arabic translator able to distinguish between the different meanings of the conjugated verbs of literary French texts? And finally what are the most effective approaches and methods that may facilitate the transmission in order to achieve a good translation in both syntax and semantics?
In this research we have adopted an amalgam of methods such as descriptive, comparative, and critical and statistic. The most used comparison methods are the parallel texts techniqueDiplôme : Magistère En ligne : ../theses/arabe/ASMA3166.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6361 إشكالية نقل صيغ الأفعال و تناسب الأزمنة إلى اللغة العربية : رواية L'ECRIVAIN لياسمينة خضرة، ترجمة إنعام بيوض إلى العربية أنموذجا [texte imprimé] / طارق صماري ; جامعة منتوري, Éditeur scientifique ; عبد الوهاب دخية, Directeur de thèse . - 2010 . - 200 ورقة ; 30 سم.

study of three translations of the Holy Qur’an into French: (translation of Jacques Berque,
Salah Ed-dine Kechrid’s one and that of King Fahd Complex).
On synonymy, this study aims to reveal the different ways through which translators
have treated one of its kinds called ‘Takafu’‘/‘Mutakafi’’. It tends to examine the
translators’ choices in the French qur’anic renderings, focusing on a semantic field based
on synonymy relation, and representing a concept described by researchers as the widely
known term among the names of El-Quiyama, which is El-Quiyama itself.
Taking into acount the influence of semantics on almost linguistic studies (theoretical
and practical ones) including translation field, it seems essential to know, while focusing
on synonymy, if this semantic element is considered by translators. The question is to
consider how the terms covering the concept of El-Quiyama are rendered? Whether the
translators have/have not detected and considered the relationship of meaning (synonymy)
connecting the set of selected terms and tracking the nuances carried by the linguistic and
situational contexts of the verses and suras? Have they behaved in the same way vis-à-vis
the translation of synonymous words (Mutakafi'at)?
To answer the questions raised above, besides the introduction and the conclusion,
we have divided this research into: an introductory part and three chapters. The
introductory part aims to identify the methodological framework of the research and to
clarify its terminology. Also, it presented some of the pertinent previous studies, and
delimits our corpus constituting of the three translations in which we will examine the
manner the synonyms (Mutakafi'at) refering to the concept of El-Quiyama are rendered in.
We have adopted, in the theoretical part, a descriptive approach that enabled us to
collect data and hence to encompass the two main study components (synonymy and
translation of the Qur’an). As for the practical part of our research, we opted for an
analytical contrastive approach based mainly on semantic and comparative analysis of the
different translational choices in regard to the original. This approach allowed us to
