The internet, the largest communication network, is playing a very important role in our society. This new technology in the field of communication allows man to have greater access to information now days, all the countries find it necessary to be connected to this international network in all sectors of activity: scientific, professional, cultural and amusement. like many other countries, Algeria is connected to the Net, which enables the private sector to invest in this domain. In fact, the opening of the cyber-cafes has allowed the Algerian to surf on the Web. It’s this point of view we want to deal which and we have treated it trough 4 chapters. After having spoken about the methodological aspect of the study, we have defined the concept, goals and components of cyber-cafe, in the second chapter. The third chapter concerns the role of cyber-cafes in the scientific and cultural development within society. The fourth and last chapter coves our survey and its results. We conclude that, the Internet via cyber-cafes is an important
means, instrument to fulfill the scientific and cultural development. this can be possible only if we make efforts and fight illiteracy concerning information and computing, this would facilitate access to knowledge. |
