The present study is devoted to deal with the semantic and morphological expansion of the nominal formula in the Quran. It aims to study the notion of the semantic and morphological expansion that is represented in the different possibilities of each formula, because each one of them can be transitive to another sense in order to take multiple meanings and without mutation. .
The formula can take on a different meaning; First ; the context can take multiple meanings in one formula, secondly the absence of the context that defines the meaning itself, and third the non-mutation of one semantic possibility on the other.
This expansion has given multiple values; the first value appeared in the original senses that are
derived from its structures, the second value appeared in the context-related senses; without
having a contradiction between the two senses, but especially a cohesion, which contributed to
the enjoyment of the text and gave it a great aesthetic value, which transfers the text from the
level of the simple expression to the level of artistic eloquence.
On this basis the study divided into: a preface, two parts and a conclusion. The preface was
reserved to explain the outline of the study, it divided into three units, the first the linguistic and morphological definition of the expansion, the second was for the criteria of the semantic and
morphological expansion of the nominal formula, and the third illustrated the causes of this
linguistic phenomenon.
The first part was dedicated to the study of the semantic and morphological expansion of the gerund formula in its different types, it included four chapters, the second part was dedicated to the semantic and morphological study in the Quran with its derivation systems it has also included four chapters, finally the study ended with a conclusion that contains the most essential results.
It has become clear that among the characteristics of the Quran eloquence that the formulas are intertwined with each other, they can be replaced by each other, in the Qur’an text may be susceptible by its nominal structure to be multiple formulas and it will allow him to open
on several semantic context.
