This study aims to discuss and explain the translation of the
rhetorical phenomenon “Al-Odool” from Arabic into French.
The thesis is divided into two chapters; it attempts to focus on
the main issue which is: How do the translators deal with the
rhetorical phenomenon “al-Odool” during their translations?
In order to answer our study question, we have selected three
translations of the Holy Qur’an done by: complex of King Fahd, André
Chouraqui, and Mohamed Chiadmi.
The thesis begins with an introduction, followed by an
introductive part which outlines the aims and methods of our
research, followed by two chapters, and the conclusion.
The first chapter is divided into three sections; the first section
discusses the concept of “Al-odool” among the linguists such as; Ibn
Mandhour, Ahmad al-Farahidi, al-Juhari, Ibn Farès, al Fairouz Abadi, |
