In Eastern Algeria, precipitation and temperature are characterised by a great variableness, be it in time (yearly or monthly) or in space. To define and explain this variableness, two periods of observation (1913-1938 and 1978-2004) and 27 meteorological stations and post are used.
The analysis of the pluviothermic quotient and EMBERGER’s climagramme for these two periods shows a vertical sliding of bioclimatic floors in coastal stations and a horizontal slide in inland ones.
Finally, a headword average mobile analysis is carried out on series of monthly average temperature and monthly total precipitation. The main parameters allowing to sum up these series are put in a prominent position, and the analysis of the major components of these parameters allows the classification of most weather characteristics in the region under study.
This classification solves the dilemma often faced by bioclimatologists, which is the use of most climatic variables without limiting them to their simple expression (their average for example). The aim is to analyse this spatial and temporal variableness and to show the link between the separative and synthetic methods. |
