The results showed that the dissolution rate is dependent on the structure and the concentration of the compound. From comparison of the inhibition efficiencies, it was found that 2- acetylthiophene (AcT) and 2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde (TCAl) are the best inhibitors. The inhibition efficiency reaches a maximum value of 97% in the presence of TCAl at 5×10-3M.
Polarisation measurements showed that both AcT and TCAl act as mixed type inhibitors.
