In order to check this correlation, we have hypothesized that if teachers use cooperative learning in class, they will be able to help Second-Year English students to enhance their communicative competence in speaking skill. To test the validity of our hypothesis, we have carried out an investigation through a students’ questionnaire and a teachers’ questionnaire. Students’ questionnaire consists of fifteen questions and administered to ninety second year students at the English Department. The teachers’ questionnaire is composed of fourteen questions given to eight teachers of oral expression.
