Résumé : |
Photonic crystals (CPs), generaly also called photonic bandgap materials, are
artificial structures whose refractive index varies periodically at the wavelength scale in
one, two or three directions of space. These structures can be obtained by periodic
arrangement of two materials.
The photonic crystals offer the prospect of producing optical or electromagnetic
devices capable of containment, filtering and guiding the light at the wavelength scale in
the material. The objective of this work is to study and design a demultiplexer based on
resonators with hexagonal crystal photonic rings using Rsoft CAD software.
In the first we studied an extraction filter (Channel drop filter, CDf) based on the
lateral coupling between waveguides and photonic crystal ring resonator (PCRR). Then we
analyzed the influence of different parameters (like the refractive index, period and radius)
on the characteristics of this filter. In the end we will study a photonic crystal
demultiplexer using a PCRR based on a channel drop filter as a fundamental element for
its design. The final structure of the latter is based on four filters (CDFs) with different
inner rods. |
