differences between British and American English in oral classes, the difficulties they face,
and the variety they prefer. In addition to teachers’ attitudes towards English, and their views
on students’ use of English in oral classes. Thus, we hypothesized that the awareness of third
year students of English of the differences between British English and American is helpful
for them to use both varieties properly. Fifty students out of three hundred from the students
of third year at the department of English were chosen randomly to answer a questionnaire,
and another questionnaire delivered to nine teachers of oral expression. The results show that
third year students of English are aware of some differences between American and British
English. However, they are not yet able to produce a proper variety.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2529 An investigation of students’ awareness of the differences between british and american english in oral classes [texte imprimé] / Roumeyssa Ariba, Auteur ; Yamina BOUTERS, Auteur ; Ratiba Kihal, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 85.f ; 30 cm.

presentations as a motivating factor in improving EFL learners’ spoken English. Our main
concern is to shed light on a very dark area, oral presentations, as an effective communicative
activity, because students undervalue the effects of oral presentation on their spoken English.
Likewise, teachers consider oral presentations as a time consuming activity that should be
avoided. On the other hand, we want to focus on the problems faced by the learners whenever
they are assigned to make an oral presentation. Therefore, we hypothesise that if students are
assigned to make oral presentations, they will improve their spoken English. For that reason,
we submitted a questionnaire to fourty students belong to the English Department, Applied
Languages, and a test through which we assigned six students to make oral presentations and
we gauged their progress during three sessions. The results have revealed that in only three
sessions, students who do not usually participate and feel shy, got rid of their fears. So, oral
presentation is an effective activity that gives the students the opportunity to practise and

Titre : Teachers’ and learners’ attitudes towards the adoption of blended learning method for developing learners’ vocabulary acquisition : The case of master one students at the university “des frères mentouri”, constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Rayene Benyanet, Auteur ; Ratiba Kihal, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 129 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Learners,Adoption,Vocabulary Acquisition Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present research aims at reporting on teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards the
adoption of blended learning method to enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition. The
underlying hypothesis is that if teachers at the university “des Frères MentouriConstantine1”
adopt the blended learning method in their EFL classes; students’ vocabulary acquisition
would enhance. The research has taken place in the Department of Letters and English
Language, faculty of Letters and Languages, University des “Frères MentouriConstantine1”.
A group of 24 learners selected randomly from a total population of ≈ 99 master 1 students
have been used as a sample in the present study. In order to reach the aim of this study,
answer the research questions, and attempt to confirm the validity of the hypothesis, the
researcher uses two questionnaires for both teachers and students. Both questionnaires aim at
gathering data about teachers’ and students’ opinions concerning the adoption of blended
learning to enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition. The findings of the present study
confirm the hypothesis and indicate that both teachers and students call for the adoption of
blended learning in EFL classes to foster students’ vocabulary acquisition. Therefore, it is
recommended that committees in charge at the Department of Letters and English Language,
Faculty of Letters and Languages, university des “Frères MentouriConstantine1” should
implement blended learning in the English language curriculum to improve the learning
process in general and vocabulary acquisition in particular.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10276 Teachers’ and learners’ attitudes towards the adoption of blended learning method for developing learners’ vocabulary acquisition : The case of master one students at the university “des frères mentouri”, constantine [texte imprimé] / Rayene Benyanet, Auteur ; Ratiba Kihal, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 129 f. ; 30 cm.
