Résumé : |
The drought that has occurred in Algeria in the last twenty years has resulted in considerable damage
to buildings constructed on swelling soils such as cracks and excavations. Several studies have been
carried out on the phenomenon of swelling of soils. This phenomenon which remains uncontrollable,
and the studies that have been carried out; Even now; Are intended to mitigate the intensity of this
damage.
We investigated the behavior of these soils in a first step, a bibliographic study was carried out to
collect as much information as possible about the Mila study region, as well as a presentation of the
clay swelling phenomenon, the mechanism Of swelling, the cause and consequences of this
phenomenon on constructions and stabilization techniques.
Then, in a second phase, an experimental study was carried out on the characterization of the
materials used and the effect of marble powder and the lime + marble powder mixture at different
concentrations on the reduction of swelling. Finally, a general discussion on the results obtained in this
Study is carried out. |
