In these recent years, the world has experienced a technological expansion,
which has profoundly altered the reliability requirements of systems that have become
increasingly complex. Industrial systems have seen a marked increase in the number of
major accidents and disasters such as fires, explosions, occasioning serious impacts
and consequences for people, equipments and the environment. To this end, great
efforts are made to control the safety of industrial installations. The control of these
phenomena obtained through qualitative, semi-quantitative and qualitative risk
analysis methods, with the collection of certain number of data and information about
the control system and its environment and the phenomenon studied.
Our work envisages a major accident scenario in a gas processing plant with two
(2) methods; SADT to simplify the treatment process, ARAMIS method which is a
semi-quantitative risk analysis method; then, modeling the most dangerous event with
the PHAST RISK program. This study aims the calculation of the severity index of a
major accident (BLEVE of a LPG storage sphere). |
