Résumé : |
In recent years, the ecological synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles has attracted the
attention of researchers as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly approach. The
objective of our work was to synthesis quantum dots of tin oxides from the extract of the
barbaric fig plant using SnCl4 (5H2O) as a precursor, and study the effect of PH and annealing
temperature on the various properties. The nanopowders obtained were characterized by X-ray
diffraction (DRX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared
Spectroscopy (FTIR), RAMAN spectroscopy and UV-Visible spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction
analysis reveals the presence of two phases : SnO2 and SnO, under two different structures :
tetragonal and orthorhombic. The samples are crystallized, even the untreated one. The grain
size is calculated from Scherrer equation. It is about 6.72 nm for the samples before annealing
and vary between 42-48 nm for the annealed samples. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
shows that there is an agglomeration of particles in a pseudo-spherical form for different values
of PH. One form of rubbons was observed in the recoated sample without NaOH. And because
of the quality of this analysis, it was not possible to identify the effect of different elaboration
parameters on the morphological properties of the elaborated powders. FTIR spectroscopy
indicates the presence of Sn-O, Sn-O-Sn and O-Sn-O bonds confirming the formation of tin
oxides (DRX results). The results of Raman spectroscopy show the presence of the main
vibration modes Eg, A1g and B2g characteristic of the rutile tetragonal phase. The optical
properties were identified by UV-Visible spectroscopy, the gap energy calculated by TAUC
relation is about 4.31 eV before annealing and variate between 3-3.55 eV after annealing.
However, the involuntary appearance of several phases makes the material very active in the
technological applications envisaged in particular in photocatalysis. |
