Résumé : |
The principal aim of the present work consisted to identify the secondary metabolites of
four species Genista cephalantha Spach.,Genista ulicina Spach., Genista quadriflora
Munby and Genista cinerea ssp. ramosissima belonging to the Fabaceae family.
This study began with a preliminary phytochemical screening by using the classic
methods, the analysis by HPLC-UV followed by a quantification of phenolic and
flavonoid content by colorimetric methods and finally the evaluation of antioxidant
activity of both species (Genista cephalantha Spach. and Genista ulicina Spach.) by
measuring their ability to scavenge a stable DPPH free radical and by β-
Carotene/linoleic acid bleaching assay. The obtained results showed a wealth of both
species in flavonoids and isoflavonoids and a good antioxidant activity. These results
gave rise to two international publications.
The extracts of these two plants were subjected to separation and purification
methods, based on chromatographic techniques.Ten compounds were isolated
from the aerial parts of Genista cephalantha and three compounds from Genista
ulicina. All isolated compounds were identified by spectroscopic analysis,
especially 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT 90,
DEPT135, COSY, HMQC, HMBC), UV spectrophotometry aswelle as Mass
Spectrometry (ESI(-)).
The analyses of essential oil of G. quadriflora et G. cinerea ssp. ramosissima by
GC and GC/MS led the identification of forty four (44) compounds from G.
quadrifloraMunby, with7,10,13-Hexadecatrienal (13.38%) as main compound,
and fifty seven (57) compounds from the essential oil of G.
cinereassp. ramosissima with phthalate (20.15%) as main compound.
