Résumé : |
Our work, concerning the fattening of lambs males, of white race includes 2 steps, the first one in a farm of state studies the breeding’s methods and the zootechnic performances of 20 lambs fattened during 50 days by calculating the quantities of food distributed and the evolution of weight. The second step achieved in the slaughterhouse, is based on the survey of features of 100 carcasses destined for the consummation. The measured parameters are the weight, a set of linear measurements of the body as well as the thickness of the dorsal greasiness; tests of classification are driven by application of statistical models GLM, ACP and Tree-Based Model.
The retained conclusions demonstrate an inadequate breeding method with a deficient feed distributed without any distinction of age or category, the favourable evolution of weight is assigned to the continuous consummation of maternal milk.
The survey of features of carcasses confirms the bad management of fattening in spite of the good conformation of animals.
The tests of classification, by using classic regrouping of carcasses in 3 categories of weight, could have two other methods of discrimination: one according to the thickness of the dorsal greasiness and the other according to the length of the carcass and widths of the carcass and the thorax. They represent an example of the multiple orderings that can be adapted to establish a specific quotation grid to our slaughterhouses |
