alypum L, belonging to the family Globulariaceae. This latter is widely distributed in the plant
kingdom is known for its richness in secondary metabolites such as flavonoids phenylethanoids
and iridoids.
This chemical study has led to the isolation by chromatographic methods and
characterization by spectroscopic methods focused mainly on the RMN1D and 2D, 3 secondary
metabolites:
1) D- Mannitol
2) Syringin
3) Globularin
The molecular structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated primarily through the
use of techniques 1D and 2D NMR (

H,
13
C J-modulated HH COSY, HSQC HMBC and
NOESY), by mass spectrometry.
The results of this work will be presented as follows:
The first chapter is devoted to a reminder bibliographic including a description of the
botanical family and genus
The second chapter is devoted to a study of polyphenols and iridoids.
The phytochemical studies of the species will be presented in the third chapter.
The fourth chapter, results and discussion.Diplôme : Magistère En ligne : ../theses/chimie/RAH6395.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9411 Investigation phytochimique de l’extrait n-butanol du Globularia alypum L : (Globulariaceae) [texte imprimé] / Naima Rahmouni, Auteur ; Nour-eddine Beghidja, Directeur de thèse . - constantine [Algérie] : Université Constantine 1, 2013 . - 105 f. ; 30 cm.

Chromatographic separations and purifications of these plants led to the isolation and identification of 18( S. stellata) and 3 compounds(S. carealeum). data.GC/MS analyses of hexane extract S. stellata allowed the identification of 43 metabolites belonging to several important families, fatty acids and their derivatives (87%) are the major ones, wherever 19 metabolites were identified and alkenes ( 60%) is the major family followed by 30% of fatty acids in hexane extract of second plant. S. stellata showed a good activity antioxidant with: DPPH, ABTS and Reducing Power tests. Compared with the other tested extracts, the n-butanol extract showed the highest activity. Using UHPLC-DAD-ESI/MSn, the knowledge of the S. stellata phenolic profile was successfully extended, for the first time establishing its content in important secondary metabolites, such as chlorogenic acids and flavonoids. Chlorogenic acids and flavonoids comprised more than 80% of the compounds found, which explains the recently reported antioxidant activity of this plant extract.
