In the first stage, two different methods were followed. The second method shows more efficiency, it gives a good sintering percentage over 96 % of anorthite theoretical density.
The effect of different amounts of (Na2CO3) and (Fe2O3) on the anorthite sintering and crystallisation was studied, 3 wt% sodium carbonate addition increases the density to values greater than 97 % of theoretical. Moreover, the density of about 98 % of the theoretical was reached for samples containing 1.5 wt% Fe2O3 sintered at 900 °C for 1 h and promotes anorthite crystallisation at lower temperatures. The anorthite phase appeared earlier at 850°C.
The prepared samples show a tensile strength of 82 MPa for 3% of Na2CO3 addition which corresponds to a flexural strength of about 222 MPa, a Vickers micro-hardness of 8.7 GPa that were treated at 900°C.
Excellent values of tensile strength about 96 MPa which corresponding to a flexural strength of 259 MPa, a Vickers micro-hardness of 9.1 GPa for the simples with 1.5 % weight of Fe2O3 were also obtained.

It have been found that supports sintered at different temperatures interesting characteristics; of porosities ratio around 55%. Moreover, there pore sizes distributions are almost homogeneous (mono-modal
type). These supports were selected to be substrates for the membrane layers used in micro-filtration (MF).
The membrane layers were elaborated from titanium oxide, using slip casting technique. The specimens were subsequently sintered at 11 00 °C. The microstructure and porosity as well as the permeability have been
also studied. It has been found that the average pore size is about 0.37 m and a layer thickness ≈ 22.7 m. These membranes are also used as supports for ultrafiltration (UF). The membrane layers of these later
were also elaborated from zirconium oxide (ZrO2) with author diameters, using slip casting technique. The specimens were subsequently sintered at 700 °C. The microstructure and porosity as well as the permeability have been also studied. It has been found that the average pore size is about 0.1 µm, the water permeability measured is about 360 l/h.m2.bar. Shear threshold is estimated at about 100,000 Dalton .
A further important application in this work is waste and hard waters purification using membranes technique.

mécaniquesIndex. décimale : 530 الفيزياء Résumé : The purpose of this work is to prepare the triaxial porcelain from native raw materials such as kaolin, feldspar and quartz. The basic porcelain composition of 50 wt% kaolin, 25wt% quartz and 25wt% feldspar. It was prepared by sintering the mixture at different temperatures (1000 -1250°C).The optimum sintering condition gave a bulk density 2.41 g/cm3 and good mechanical proprieties. The tree point flexural strength, Vickers microhardness of porcelain were142 MPa and 6.9 GPa, respectively. The mechanical proprieties of porcelain are improved by addition of Alumina oxide, Fer oxide and Zirconia oxide. The addition of Zirconia oxide improved both mechanical proprieties. The optimum sintering condition gave a higher bulk density 2.55 g/cm3 and good mechanical proprieties. The tree point flexural strength, Vickers micro- hardness of samples containing 8 wt% ZrO2 and sintered at 1200°C were 132 MPa and 13.08 GPa, respectively. These values reveal that the porcelain is a good insulator.
The addition of Fer oxide improved both mechanical proprieties. The optimum sintering condition gave a higher bulk density 2.51 g/cm3 and good mechanical proprieties. The tree point flexural strength, Vickers micro- hardness of samples containing 5 wt% Fe2O3 and sintered at 1200°C were 170MPa and 8.57 GPa, respectively. The addition of Alumina oxide improved both mechanical proprieties. The optimum sintering condition gave a higher bulk density 2.48g/cm3 and excellent mechanical proprieties.
