The present work is entitled:
“The problem of interjection translation in Victor Hugo’s novel ‘Le dernier jour d’un condamné’. Translated by Fatmé Al Tabbal It’s an exploration of the interjective phenomenon, strange and paradoxical, also complicated both in the grammar point of view, and in translation one.
Before treating the problem of this phenomenon by the translators, we think that it could have been solved by linguists. A classification or division of interjections in class, far from the few efforts made by grammar, is necessary, to allow the translator to identify the type of interjection he deals with. This can be only if we try to find an ideal translation for each kind of interjection, through the classification.
The present work therefore consists of an introduction, four chapters (two for the theory and two for practice), a conclusion, and three abstracts.
