This study is the first study conducted on the morphological and ostéométriques characterization of kulls sheep in Algeria. It was worn on twenty-six quantitative variables and thirty-two qualitative variables for a sample of 30 heads (15 males and 15 females). There is a perfect agreement between the results of the qualitative and quantitative study, they show the presence of two major morph type of skull (thin and thick), more heads that bring some characteristics of the first and more of the second type, These results show that the diversity of sheep even affects his bone morphology, and that it also differs from his age group to another and from one sex to the other. So it gives us an assisted about the heterogeneity of herds, and about the existence of uncontrolled croisements between individuals of different races or cross breeding individuals. - 148 f. ; 30 cm.

The flora is the predominant flora aerobic mesophilic total (1.79 log10 cfu/cm2, 57%) followed by enterobacteria (0.84 log10 cfu/cm2; 27%) and fecal coliform (0.50 log10 cfu / cm2, 16%).
The contamination rates are significantly lower than those recorded on beef carcasses (2.76 log10 cfu / cm2 for flora aerobic mesophilic total; 2.16 log10 cfu / cm2 for Enterobacteriaceae and 1.66 log10 cfu / cm2 for fecal coliform), And sheep (3.08 log10 cfu / cm2 for flora aerobic mesophilic total, 2.90 log10 cfu / cm2 for Enterobacteriaceae and 2.72 log10 cfu / cm2 for fecal coliform).
To study fungi, we have identified five molds (Penicillium sp 28 times or 41.18%; Cladosporium sp 20 times or 29.41%; Mucorales sp 11times or 16.18%; Aspergillus niger 5 times or 7.35% and Alternaria 4 times or 5.88%) and six yeast (Rhodotorula rubra 25 times or 44.64%, Rhodotorula glutInis 13 times or 23.21%, Geotrichum sp 11 times or 19.64%, Torulopsis sp 4 times or 7, 14%, Cryptococcus neoformans 2 times or 3.57%, and Cryptococcus sp 1 time or 1.79%)Diplôme : Magistère En ligne : ../theses/veterinaire/HAM5298.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/md/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=1864 Contribution à l'étude de la contamination superficielle bacterienne et fongique des carcasses camelines au niveau de l'aattoir d'El-oued [texte imprimé] / Brahim Hamad, Auteur ; Miriem Aissi, Directeur de thèse ; K. Sciences VétérinairesTags : Thyroïdienne Dexaméthasone Ovin fT4 fT3 Thyroid Dexamethasone Sheep Index. décimale : 636 Sciences Vétérinaires Résumé : Synthetic glucocorticosteroids are widely used in veterinary medicine for their antiinflammatory and immunosuppressive actions. However they are deemed to have
multiple side effects such as hypothyroidism.
The aim of this study was to define the effects of Dexamethasone (DEX) administered
parenterally (IM) at therapeutic doses conventionally used in the anti-inflammatory
and immunosuppressive treatments on the thyroid function in sheep.
Fifteen sheep of Ouled Djellal breeds were randomly divided into three groups of five
sheep each. The animals received an injection of Dexamethasone (DEXALONEND
solution) at a rate of 1.52 mg DEX / J for 6 days for group1 and 3.4 mg DEX / J for 6
days for group 2, the third group has served as control group and did not receive any
treatment. Blood samples taken over a period of 3 weeks were analyzed to define the
plasma levels of free thyroid hormones fT4 fT3.
It has been shown that Dexamethasone induced a significant decrease (P <0.05) of
serum fT4 and fT3 24 hours following the start of treatment. Hormone levels have
returned to their baseline values 24 hours after treatment withdrawal.
From these results, we can deduce that Dexamethasone antithyroid-effects are
transitory and therefore do not have a significant impact on the health of the animals.

Reproductive tract of sheep (n = 501) were collected from 4 slaughterhouses in eastern Algeria (Ras el Oued ""Bordj Bou Arreridj"" Sétif, Constantine and El Khroub) over a period of 7 months. The gross examination of collected specimens was confirmed by histological examination. In total, 14.77% of tracts were pregnant and 25.14% exhibited abnormalities. The highest rates of abnormality were in the ovaries (19.9%), followed by the uteri (5.4%). Predominant lesions in ovaries were paraovarian cysts (8.78%), cystic corpora lutea (5%) and ovarian adhesions (4.8%). Predominant uterine disorders were chronic endometritis (1%) and fetal maceration (0.8%). The most common lesions in the broad ligament and vagina were calcified and parasitic cysts (3.8%), especially those of Cysticercus tenuicollis. the abnormalities of the oviduct and the cervix were less common. Genital tuberculosis were observed in the oviduct, uterus and the broad ligament (0.4%).The presence of hydatid cyst in the ovary and endometriosis cyst confirmed by histological examination, was exceptional in sheep. These results, suggest that lesions of the reproductive tract of ewes may represent a significant source of loss to the sheep industry in Algeria.

The study has been realised on a goat and a sheep from November 2012 until June 2013. The method of filling the satellite arteria by a product of contrast a mixture of blue methylene and white wash- has been used to detect the path of the nerves. The technique of the dissection of aponevrosa, fascia and muscles, enables to detect the location of the nerves in the different areas of the posterior members in the small ruminants. In general, the method of the filling of the satellites arteria and the technique of the dissection are the most used processes and constitute the effective tools in the field of the normal and topographic anatomy.
