necessary information to understand the indirect contribution of the Republic in the
restoration of the monarchy in Britain. In addition, this work studies the tyrannical
rule of both, Charles I and Oliver Cromwell. Moreover, it attempts to show how the
failures of Richard Cromwell and the ones of his father had quickened the draconian
collapse of the Republic just after a decade from its establishment. This study explains
also that though the Republicans succeeded in abolishing the monarchy, they failed in
abolishing absolutism and tyranny. The Republican Cromwell seemed not less tyrant
than the Stuart Charles I.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6125 The failure of republicanism and the restoration of the monarchy in britain [texte imprimé] / Assam Latreche, Auteur ; Amina Dakhmouche, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2014 . - 51 f. ; 30 cm.
