The dissertation deals with the political situation prior to 1832 especially in Parliament and the dominant process of election when choosing parliamentary representation. This dominance led the emergence of aristocratic class through owning lands and boroughs. Those crises obliged the government to pass the Great Britain Act. The French Revolution and the growth of radical ideas attributed in the foundation of societies that claimed for political rights. In addition to the crucial role played by Earl Grey as a prime minister in the house of Commons and the Whig party. But this act did not concern all the classes. This led to the growth of chartist movement as a result of the Great Reform Act 1832 claiming for changes that were brought about by the Great Reform 1832 |
