Résumé :	Britain is a special European country which is different from its other European neighbours. Britain showed ups and downs in terms of the relationship with the continent. This study deals with the relationship of Britain with Europe after the Second World War and the creation of the European Economic Community which is called nowadays the European Union which Britain joined late. It also deals with the attitudes of the different governments from both parties Labour and the Conservative towards Europe. The European Union witnessed Britain exit from the union in the last years. This study investigates the different reasons, forces and factors of Britain’s decision to exit the European Union known as “Brexit.” This study also examines the aftermath of this decision in different areas a short period after this unexpected event.
