Résumé : |
Positive thinking is the process in which the mind concentrates on what is beneficial and
constructive to achieve positive results. For this reason, the present study aims at investigating
the impact of positive thinking on students’ motivation and their academic performance. We
hypothesized if students think positively they will be motivated and their academic
performance will be improved. We constructed the study on two chapters: theoretical chapter
and a practical one. In order to test the hypothesis of this study we used two questionnaires to
collect data they were addressedto both teachers and student of English at the department of
English, University of Constantine 1. The findings of this research revealed that positive
thinking has a positive effect on students’ motivation and academic performance in the sense
that it reduces their negative thoughts and increases their self-confidence and eagerness to
learn. In addition, the findings showed that teachers can make their students’ adopte a positive
attitude by using some strategies and ways. |
