Résumé : |
Through years of studying English as a foreign language we noticed that corrective
feedback is, no doubt, a crucial component in the process of learning, as well as it is a very
effective aspect in the learners’ achievement. Therefore, the present dissertation discusses the
importance of grammatical corrective feedback on developing students’ accuracy in writing.
This study is an attempt to investigate the impact of teachers’ grammatical corrective
feedback on students’ productions. It is based on the hypothesis that providing students with
the appropriate grammatical feedback will help them to reduce the errors they make and
improve their writing both in terms of content and form. To find out the validity of our
hypothesis, two main questionnaires were administered to teachers and students alike, in order
to gather certain amount of information that enable us to determine the extent to which
grammatical corrective feedback is used as an effective strategy in a second language-writing
classroom. It is by a sample of 50 students from third year, and 10 teachers of written
expression that we collect the data. The results of the study allowed us to see that teacher’s
corrective feedback is a useful strategy that helps students to reduce their grammatical errors
and improve their writing skill |
