Résumé : |
The present research paper attempts to investigate the teachers’ opinions about the use
of nonverbal communication in teaching Englishas a foreign language. The study aims at
investigating the implementation of teachers’ nonverbal communication in the classroom,
and exploiting the teachers’ attitudes towards the use of nonverbal communication when
used to teach English for middle school pupils. To achieve these aims, a quantitative
research method is used. To collect data, a questionnaire is administered to middle school
teachers which are randomly selected. The questionnaire is submitted to twenty-five (25)
teachers online because of the pandemic COVID-19. It is hypothesized that when teachers
used nonverbal communication inside the classroom, English as foreing language pupils
would perform better. The results obtained from this study have confirmed the hypothesis
and have provided evidence that the majority of teachers agreed that nonverbal
communication is useful in English as a foreing language teaching process, and it
develops the pupils’ performance. |
