Résumé : |
The study attempts to determine the impact of flexibility in student-teachers relationship on
students’ academic achievement. It helps to guide teachers to the development and maintenance
of their relationships with their students in the classroom. it also provides more examples and
empirical results for how teacher-student relationships are created and developed, and
identifies specific factors associated with how teacher-student relationship could provide
valuable information to an educational learning community. This research study is based on the
hypothesis that the higher is the level of teachers-students’ flexibility in class interaction, the
higher would be their students’ achievement. In order to achieve the main aims of this research
and test our hypothesis, two questionnaires were used. The first was administrated to master II
students of English in the department of English at University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine
1, and the second questionnaire is for their university teachers. The reason behind that is to
gather information about the use of flexibility in student-teachers relationship and whether it
affects students’ academic achievement or not. The analysis of the results provided a description
of the major themes that developed regarding strong teacher-students relationship, as well as,
specific components essential for students’ learning environment. The implications for how
these findings can affect the academic achievement of the students are the most important
element in this research. |
