Résumé :	This thesis examines the different reasons that led Britain to exit the European Union or the so-called ‘Brexit.’ It also investigates the phases of Brexit negotiations that took place from the Referendum until the separation. This study investigates the hardships that faced Brexit negotiations under Article 50 of the Treaty of the European Union. This research stops at January 31, 2020. To examine the UK-EU relations, this thesis uses a descriptive-analytical approach, which facilitates the study of the events leading up to Brexit as well as the difficulties that faced the UK during the negotiations. The main finding of this research is that the British Government led by Theresa May played a major role in delaying the ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement.
