Résumé : |
Through years of studying English as a foreign language we noticed that teachers’
feedback is a vital aspect in learning. The present study aims at clarifying the relationship
between the Oral Expression teachers’ feedback and the development of the students’
speaking performance. This study is based on the hypothesis that, students who are provided
with effective and appropriate feedback, and try to take it into account are likely to improve
their speaking skill. For this, two questionnaires were conducted. The first one was given to
second -year students at the department of English, University “Des Frères Mentouri”,
Constantine 1; this sample consisted of (33) students. The second one was addressed to (09)
Oral Expression teachers at the same department. The purpose of these questionnaires was to
gather information about students’ and teachers’ opinions about the OE teachers’ feedback
during the learning process, and its impact on the students speaking performance. The data
collected from these two questionnaires showed that teachers’ feedback is very influential and
has a positive effect on students’ speaking skill. |
