The study intends to present theoretical and methodological approaches used to focus on media discourse as well as the findings of research on the treatment of Islam and Muslims by the mass media. It also involves a critical discourse analysis of the language used in reference to the Muslim and Arab communities in the programming of two U.S television stations, CNN and Fox News, more specifically in their talk shows.
