Résumé : |
Vocabulary knowledge permits students to master the language in order to be able to
communicate appropriately. However, English as a Foreign Language students encounter
serious difficulties concerning this aspect of language and they are still unqualified to
communicate in English fluently. The aim of this work is to highlight the impact of social media
on enhancing students’ vocabulary reservoir at Mentouri Brothers University Constantine-1 as
well as to investigate the fact that social media may be an additional tool of improving students’
vocabulary. The questions that this research seeks to answer revolve around knowing the impact
of Social Media on EFL LMD learners’ vocabulary. In this respect, we hypothesize that “social
media is considered as an extra tool for the students to improve their vocabulary.” In order to
test this hypothesis, we delivered a designed questionnaire administrated for both students and
teachers of English as a tool of collecting data. Consequently, the findings of this research
confirmed that social media contributes in developing students’ vocabulary knowledge. |
