Résumé : |
This study aims at exploring students’ perceptions of teachers’ corrective feedback on
sentence structure, their reaction to teachers’ correction of their errors related to sentence
structure in their writing, and its impact on their writing. Thus, the hypothesis states that if
students respond positively to teachers’ feedback on sentence structure, then their level in
writing would be improved. To test the hypothesis, an investigation has been carried out
through two questionnaires, one completed by teachers and the other one by students at the
Department of English at “Les Frères Mentouri”, Constantine University1. The students’
sample comprises fifty students of second year English, whereas teachers’ population includes
ten teachers of writing expression. The findings show teachers and students believe in the
importance of corrective feedback on sentence structure in improving students’ writing.. So,
the results confirm our hypothesis; students show positive response to corrective feedback on
sentence structure which will help them improve their level in writing |
