The underlying hypothesis is that if Master one Students of English language are aware of the role of the integration of culture, this would develop students’ Language Proficiency. The educational setting in which this study takes place is the Department of Letters and English language, University des frères Mentouri, Constantine. 60 students are selected randomly from a total population of 359 Master one students in addition to 17 teachers of English language as samples in the present research. In order to reach the aim of the undertaken research, answer the research questions and seek to ensure the validity of the stated hypothesis, two research tools are used  namely teachers’ questionnaire and students’ questionnaire. The questionnaire of teachers aims at defining teachers’ attitudes about their students’ awareness towards the role of culture integration on developing their Language Proficiency. Besides, students’ questionnaire attempts to know about their attitudes and interest concerning the importance of cultural knowledge in Language Learning to develop their Language Proficiency. The findings of the study are in the direction of the hypothesis and show that the majority of teachers and learners are aware about the effectiveness of culture integration and confirm its role on developing students' language proficiency. Therefore, teachers are recommended to devote enough time to the native culture each time they teach any aspect of the target language.
