Résumé : |
The present research is about the British Great Depression of 1929. It is divided into
two parts, the first is about the 1920s and the second about the beginning of 1930s. This
dissertation is, mostly, a descriptive one. The first chapter tries to present the different causes
that contributed to the British depression by just giving the most important ones. Two kinds of
causes are presented, the internal and the external ones. Going beyond the 20s, the last chapter
of the work speaks about the small recovery that Britain knew in the 30s. It gives a kind of
comparison to the 1920s living standard, if that change is to the positive or not. The work
ends with highlighting the bad decisions that the government did during the 20s and that
worsened the economic fall. |
