This research work investigates the role of cooperative learning in enhancing
students writing skill. It aims to determine whether the students writing ability would
be improved by using cooperative learning strategy. To give consistency to our study,
two questionnaires have been submitted to a sample composed of a group of second
year students of English, and a group of teachers from the same department. The main
aim of this questionnaire is to get information about the role and the effect of
cooperative learning by both teachers and students in developing writing skill. The
results have shown that cooperative learning is an important strategy to increase
students’ level in writing. Moreover; the results of the questionnaires confirmed that
the hypothesis that the students have a positive attitude about using cooperative
learning technique it also helps students to develop their writing skill and create a
good atmosphere in classroom where students communicate and help each other. |
