Résumé : |
Speaking is one of the most important language skills since it is the basis of communication.
However, learning and teaching the speaking skill is challenging task for both the teachers
and learners because it is affected by many factors. One of these major factor is the
personality dichotomy ‘‘extroversion and introversion’’. The present study aims at exploring
the relationship between‘‘extroversion/introversion’’continuum and oral speaking
development. The current research is composed of three chapters. The first two chapters
represent the literature review of the two personality traits ‘‘extroversion/introversion’’ and
the speaking skill, while chapter three is the practical work. It was undertaken by
administering two questionnaires: one for Oral Expession teachers, and an other for Third
Year LMD students at the department of English at Menturi Brothers University. The research
findings show that the personality traits affect the student speaking skill production. On the
basis of these results, it can be said that the results are in the direction of the research
hypotheses. |
