This study is devoted to investigating the impact of using e-books on the students' reading
motivation. In the department of English at Constantine University, it is a fact that most of the
students do not read regularly and they are not motivated to read at all. Therefore, our
research aimed at investigating the students’ and teachers’ attitudes towards the role of using
e-books. In order to verify the validity of our hypothesis which was stated as follows: “if the
students use e-books, their reading motivation will be increased”, two questionnaires were
delivered to both teachers and students to elicit their opinions about the research topic. Our
sample consisted of sixty third year students of English in the department of English at
Constantine University, as well as fourteen teachers of English in the same department. Based
on the main findings of the research, a great majority of teachers as well as students had
positive attitudes towards the use of E-books. |
