Résumé : |
This study aims to investigate to what extent teachers’ motivation affects the
participation of students using the foreign language in the Oral session. To carry out
our study, two questionnaires and an observation were used. The two questionnaires
were submitted to a sample of second year LMD students (50 students in the
Department of Arts and Languages at University Mentouri Constantine) and a group
of teachers (10 teachers who teach Oral Expression in the Department of Arts
Languages at the University of Mentouri Constantine). In order to reinforce our
research, an observation was used to investigate teacher’ motivation during OE and to
confirm the following hypothesis “if the teachers are highly motivated, they can
create a motivating atmosphere, that would encourage learners to participate. The
results obtained using three means of research (the students’ questionnaire, the
teachers’ questionnaire, and the observation) provided us with a clear idea about the
significant role played by the teachers’ motivation in the Oral classroom and its
effects on students’ participation. |
