English at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 in using the perfect simple tenses
in their grammar classroom assignments. It also attempts to identify the reasons behind
committing mistakes in the use of these specific tenses. For this purpose, it is hypothesized that
second-year students of English do not know when to put the right perfect simple tense in the
right situation because of ignorance of the rules and lack of practice. In light of this, two
questionnaires have been used for the students and teachers. The aim of the students’
questionnaire is to gather information about the students’ knowledge and attitudes toward the
perfect simple tenses. The aim of the teachers’ questionnaire is to identify the reasons behind
these difficulties and the reasons behind making mistakes in the use of these tenses. The
results of the analysis revealed that the majority of the students found it challenging to deal
with the English perfect simple tenses. Both of the participants find that PSTs are
tremendously problematic and difficult to learn mainly because of lack of practice, ignorance of
the rules. Thus, the hypothesis is confirmed, emphasizing the fact that the students misuse the
perfect simple tenses because of the reasons mentioned above.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13475 Investigating the Difficulties and Reasons Behind the Students’ Misuse of the Perfect Simple Tenses in their Classroom Assignments The Case of Second Year Students of English at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Sihem Latrache, Auteur ; Nassima Benchabane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 93 f. ; 30cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Aims of the Study Population and Sampling Outcome. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This research focuses on the use of neuro-linguistic programming in English language
teaching in Algerian middle schools. It aims to highlight definitions, strategies, and techniques of
neuro-linguistic programming. It also seeks to demonstrate how NLP techniques can help both
teachers and students accomplish their academic goals; by solving their classroom’s problems,
such as the students’ lack of motivation, incomprehension, and negative attitudes, usually held
toward studying English. This work also attempts to investigate the knowledge and attitude of
the Algerian middle school teachers of English about neuro-linguistic programming and their
willingness to apply it in their instruction. In order to answer the research questions and to test
our hypothesis that states that teachers’ awareness of the benefits of using neuro-linguistic
programming in the teaching process and their positive attitudes toward it may contribute to the
effectiveness of language teaching and learning. A questionnaire was given to 10 middle school
teachers of English in the city of Nouvelle Ville Constantine to gather information about their
knowledge and readiness toward the application of NLP in English language teaching.
According to the findings of the study, a greater number of teachers appeared to have relative
knowledge about neuro-linguistic programming. The majority of them showed positive attitudes
and willingness to use NLP in teaching English; their attitudes varied according to their
knowledge. As a result, teachers who knew more about NLP were more interested and motivated
to use it in their instruction. Thus, the hypothesis is confirmed, emphasizing the fact that
teachers’ awareness of the benefits of using neuro-linguistic programming in their teaching and
their positive attitudes toward it may contribute to the effectiveness of language teaching and
learning.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15285 The Application of Neuro-Linguistic Programming to Overcome Challenges EFL Teachers Face: The Case of Middle School Teachers of English in the City of Nouvelle Ville Constantine [texte imprimé] / Karama Saad Azzem, Auteur ; Nassima Benchabane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 65 f. ; 30 cm.

Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Extroversion Introversion Speaking Skills. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The present study investigates the students’ attitudes towards the effects of extroversionintroversion personality traits on their speaking skills in oral performance. It attempts to shed
light on the impact of personality traits on oral performance. It was assumed that the
personality style of students has a significant impact on their speaking skills and can cause
obstacles which hinder them while communicating and performing. To carry out our work,
we hypothesize that speaking proficiency in English can be well achieved by both introvert
and extrovert students if they overcome some difficulties hindering their progress.
Accordingly, In order to investigate the validity of our research, two online questionnaires
were administrated. The population of interest comprises first year students of English at the
department of English, faculty of Letters and English Language, University of Frères
Mentouri, Constantine 1. The selected population is, primarily, based on the fact that students
have different personality traits. Added to this, they are new at University; so they are
susceptible to come across many difficulties and obstacles during the learning process and
react differently to overcome these difficulties. The analysis of the teachers and the students’
questionnaires revealed that students’ personality trait is not an obstacle to achieve success if
they overcome some difficulties that encounter them while learning. Extroverts have the
opportunity to express themselves because they react with the external world freely without
limitations, while introverts interact with their internal world because they prefer solitude and
privacy. However, it is clearly noticed that both extroverts and introverts have the ability to
learn and to perform in a good way because each student has his own ways and strategies to
learn. Thus, it is not necessary to be an extrovert in order to master a language.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13642 The Effects of Extroversion- Introversion Personality Traits on Students’ Speaking Skills The Case of EFL 1st Year Students at Constantine 1 university [texte imprimé] / Imene Boutakouk, Auteur ; Nassima Benchabane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 81 f. ; 30cm.

essays. For this purpose, it is hypothesized that outlining is an important prewriting strategy that
may help students write coherent and well-organized essays. In light of this, two research
instruments have been used: a questionnaire for teachers, a questionnaire for students and tests.
The teachers’ questionnaire aims to collect information on the teacher’s perception regarding the
he importance of using outlining before writing. The students’ questionnaire aims to allow students
share their thoughts and opinions regarding the use of outlining as a prewriting strategy. It also
attempts to examine students’ awareness regarding the importance of outlining in producing good
essays. The tests attempt to examine the importance of outlining in writing a coherent and welldeveloped essay through the evaluation of the students’ essays. this evaluation is based on specific
writing criteria like the target audience, Content and organization, the rhetorical Function,
Coherence and cohesion. The analysis of the data revealed that students who used the outline
during the presentation stage were able to write a successful essay unlike, those of the control
group who did not make use of an outline. Moreover, the analysis of the data collected from the
teachers’ questionnaire, students’ questionnaire, and tests confirm that using an outline during the
prewriting stage will help students write organized and coherent essays.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15867 The Importance of Outlining in Developing Good Essays The Case of Third Year Students of English at the University of Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Marwa Tahouati, Auteur ; Nassima Benchabane, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 77 f. ; 30 cm.
