Résumé : |
Writing is one of the most challenging tasks for EFL Learners, and spelling the words
correctly is another hindrance that hampers them from producing adequate written
productions. Hence, the present study aims at investigating teachers’ attitudes towards the use
of mind mapping as a teaching/learning technique to enhance students’ spelling performance.
It is hypothesized that adopting mind mapping technique would help EFL learners to improve
their spelling skills. To achieve this aim, a questionnaire is used to collect data and is
administrated to Written Expression teachers at the Department of English, University-des
Frères Mentouri-Constantine1. The research findings have shown that the teachers hold
positive attitudes towards using mind mapping as a teaching/learning technique to enhance
the spelling abilities and writing achievement of learners. Hence, it is highly recommended
that teachers should include this technique in Written Expression module to develop their
writing capacities |
