The present research aims at investigating the importance of the positive relationship between
second year English students and Oral Expression teachers at the English Department,
University of Mentouri, Constantine, and to determine how that positive relation can enhance
the oral performance of students. Also the objective of this work is to help teachers to create a
positive and strong rapport with their students through mentioning different strategies that
they can use, and also how teachers can help their students to overcome the psychological
problems they face. Thus, we have hypothesized that if there is a positive relationship
between teachers and students, the oral performance of students would be affected positively.
To achieve the above objectives and to confirm the hypothesis, two questionnaires were opted
for. One was administered to four teachers of Oral Expression, and the other one to forty five
second year English students, both of them at the English Department of mentouri,
Constantine. The results obtained confirm the stated hypothesis and prove that when there is a
positive relationship between teachers and students, the oral performance of students would
be affected positively, the results also emphasis that teachers know some of the strategies that
can help their students to get rid of some psychological problems that they face in speaking |
