This paper proves that by analysing the parody and its grotesque theme, everything falls into the mold of a lesson to the readers to be aware of dangerous trends and theories and for the sake of warning and teaching them. With transactional reader response theory, the paper explores and proves this point by analysing the trap-text to derive the essential truth about Humbert Humbert, Charlotte and Lolita and the overall story’s significance.
