Résumé : |
British newspapers have a big impact in shaping attitudes towards Muslims and their
religion. It’s clear that Islam represents a sensitive topic because most of British press tried to
give a negative image about the religion and its followers which led to Islamophobia or the fear
from Islam. Many British scholars and sociologists blamed the newspapers for being racist
against Muslims: almost all newspapers published lies about them espeacially during the 9\11
and 7\7 London Bombings, others exaggerating events. It is claimed that there are many factors
which fuel Islamophobia but the press is the first responsible in rising this phenomenon in the
UK. Islam is representing an attractive topic that can make millions of people purchase
newspaper tackling the topic. |

Index. décimale : |

Résumé : |
This thesis’ main goal deals with the effective role of Kennedy in resolving the Cuban Missile
Crisis of 1962, during the Cold War which is counted as one of the most dangerous and
serious events over history. The world was on the verge of a nuclear war, which was

The present research paper seeks to show the importance of the decisions made by President
Kennedy and focusing on the changes that occurred in the American foreign policy by
describing the changing nature of the America-Cuban relations before and after the cold war.
It then, attempts to display the reasons behind this crisis along with analyzing and discussing
the motives and goals of the concerned countries; the United States, Cuba and the Soviet
Union. |

Index. décimale : |
420 Langue anglaise |
Résumé : |
The present study is a modest work and a review of the main events that shaped the different parts of life in the United States, during the period between 1950 and 1960. The main subject of this study refers to an aspect which had been organized in the United States, during that period. This factor was the civil rights movement which worked to help blacks to obtain the first citizens class in the country today. The movement was guided by Martin Luther King who decided to overcome segregation and eliminate any kind of discrimination in the nation. The leader wanted blacks to get equal rights with whites including the right to vote.
This analytical study is an appraisal of whether Martin Luther King had been successful to change the African Americans situation in politics by making them able to get the right to vote. |

American & British LB. Johnson'sStudies Anti Vietnam 1965-1969 |
Index. décimale : |
420 Langue anglaise |
Résumé : |
This study explores a historical example that represents the participation of public opinion in
shaping U.S foreign policy by shedding light on the American antiwar movement of the
1960's, wich emerged mainly in college campuses and most American cities in response to
the unjustified U.S military intervention in Vietnam from 1965 to 1973. Along with the civil
rights movement of the same decade, the anti Vietnam war movement is considered as the
most effective social force in the 20th century American history, regarding to its lasting
impact on both U.S policymaking and domestic life. The antiwar movement was unique in
one aspect; it was the first time that a social movement gathers almost all the American social
categories in support for one cause: opposing the government's foreign policies. This fact
boosted the movement toward achieving its main goal and forcing president Lyndon
Johnson's administration to give up the fight in Vietnam, and bring the U.S troops home |

Résumé : |
This study analyzes US-Iran relations and the development of the Iranian Nuclear
Program between 1979-2001 from a historical perspective by showing their cooperation and
conflict on a number of issues, but primarily in regard to nuclear technology. It starts with a
historical background of US foreign policy toward Iran after the Second World War because
American conduct in the Middle East during the Cold War era aimed at securing its national
interests in the region from the expansion of the Soviet Union. This research also focuses on
US-Iran relations after 1979, which proves a serious setback in their relations. In addition, this
study discusses how Iran has become a major foreign policy issue for American
administrations following the seizure of the American Embassy and Iran-Iraq war. Finally, it
addresses Iranian intentions for developing and restarting its nuclear technology, which
becomes a major problem for the United States. |
