It also aims to detect some of the difficulties they face and some of the strategies they might use. The sample of the study consists of 30 Master students in applied language studies in the department of the English language and letters. Data are collected through a translation test. First-year Master students are requested to translate three political tweets generated by the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to. The analysis of the collected data has revealed that the majority of the students able to translate the political terms and expressions under study.
