Résumé : |
This piece of work is an attempt to figure out the efficiency if using role play
as a teaching
technique in enhancing students' speaking skill .The main problem that we
found in teaching
and learning speaking is that students' performance seems unsatisfactory
and this problem
may be due to the techniques and strategies that are adopted in teaching the
speaking skill.I
hypothesize that if teachers adopt role play as a teaching technique students'
speaking skill
will improve.
To check the validity of our research hypothesis and reach our aim ,we
adopted
the questionnaire as a tool of collecting data .One questionnaire was given to
the oral
expression teachers at the department of English language University of
Brothers Mentouri
Constantine 1, and the second questionnaires was administred to third year
students at the
Same department. The analysis and the discussion of the obtained data have
shown that
both of students and teachers attitudes towards role play technique. They
believe that it helps
12
them to improve the oral skill and overcome the psychological problems.
Findings show also
that role play technique not only raises learners' motivation to learn and
speak but entertains
them as well. Therefore ,our hypothesis has been confirmed. |
