Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The current study intends to investigate the relationship between memory and intelligence in second-year students of English at the University ’’Fréres Mentouri’’ - Constantine 01. We hypothesized that students with high mental capacities, or who are regarded intelligent, have functionally good memory abilities. To see if this hypothesis is correct , we selected 60 students from the second-year population and designed two questionnaires, one for memory and the other for intelligence. The intelligence questionnaire has been designed to obtain sufficient information on the cognitive abilities of the students. To test memory we used the three point Likert scale questionnaire in order to investigate if second year students have a good memory ability or not. The data generated from the examination produced significant results, indicating that they support our hypothesis.
